Closed off to the public at night during turtle season, November-March, you can get up close and personal with these ancient mariners on a Mon Repos Turtle Encounter, a must for any visitor. Out of turtle season, the beach is enjoyed for swimming, sailing, and other water sports. Fun Fact: Pioneer aviator Bert Hinkler first trialled flight of the dunes of Mon Repos 100 years ago.
