About This Community
Litchfield Council has an approximate area of 3,100 km².

It is comprised of the localities of Acacia Hills, Blackmore, Darwin River, Koolpinyah, Shoal Bay, Wak Wak and Weddell.
It is surrounded by the councils of Coomalie Shire, Cox-daly, Darwin, Elrundie, Marrakai-dougla and Palmerston.
It is comprised of parts of the state electorates of Daly, Goyder and Nelson.
It is comprised of parts of the federal electorates of Lingiari and Solomon.
