Stroke Foundation: StrokeSafe Volunteer Speaker Program

Our StrokeSafe volunteer speakers are trained in public speaking and experienced in delivering life-saving messages about stroke. Our volunteers cover a range of issues that will help your organisation or group better understand stroke and how it can be prevented including; what a stroke is, how to recognise the signs of stroke, what to do if someone is having a stroke, how to prevent stroke.

Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP)

The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) at TAFE NSW offers free English language courses to help migrants and refugees settle in Australia, and it is currently seeking volunteers to support its initiatives.

Mental Health Services

Anxiety Support Groups

A support group for people experiencing anxiety disorders, including phobias, OCD, social anxiety, and generalised anxiety. Groups are run by volunteer facilitators as part of WayAhead's Understanding Anxiety program. Carers, family and friends are also welcome to attend. Limbs 4 Life is the peak body for amputees in Australia and was founded as an incorporated charity in 2004. Limbs 4 Life provides services to thousands of amputees and their care givers, who rely on the programs and services for assistance prior to, or after a limb amputation.

The Babes Project works with women who are seeking additional support during pregnancy. We run a National support service providing our Perinatal Support Program via phone and video calls for pregnant and early parenting women across Australia, who cannot access one of the Centres.
