About Us
The Yellow Cabs Bayside Brass band is based on Brisbane’s bayside, just south of the river. Concerts are held throughout the metropolitan area and south-east Queensland. We give a warm welcome to new brass and percussion players. The band contests in C grade, however our main focus is toward providing a community arts facility that both entertains the public and encourages its members to improve their skill levels as individuals and thus the band as a whole.
We particularly welcome and encourage young players who may be looking for an extension of their school instrumental program. Our current age range is from 12 to 80 something and includes several families. Feel free to contact us using any of the contact details listed.
We practice on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm at the Wynnum Gospel Church, 161 Preston Rd, Manly West QLD 4178.
Hope to see you at a reharsal soon!

Bayside Brass is a community-based brass band on the move. With a rich history dating back to the 1930's as the Wynnum Manly Citizen’s Band, we are bolstered by a dynamic Musical Director who is keeping the music current, and a progressive committee that is seeking the best opportunities to perform for the enjoyment of our community and to inspire future generations of young brass musicians. We are a very social, not-for-profit group of musicians with players aged 8 - 80 who are looking to make waves in the brass band scene through quality music, great performances and sharing our passion for music with the community. We regularly perform as part of the Brisbane City Council’s Bands in the Park program as well as marching appearances at Australia Day and ANZAC Day every year.
