Youth Development Foundation

Our organisation works with socially disadvantaged and disengaged youth and their families, to address an extensive range of social issues which ultimately manifest in our client’s inabilities to break the cycle of; depression, violence, poverty, crime, drug dependence/abuse, unemployment and loss of hope.

Our clients experience aspects of disadvantage from all corners of our social system, many being subject to varying degrees of residential uncertainty (homelessness), suffering the negative effects of drug and alcohol abuse, failing in our education system, running foul of the law, struggling with their physical and mental health and trapped in a cycle of poverty.

It is the personal commitment of every YDF team member, whether they are paid or volunteers, to find a pathway to connect with our clients and offer them an alternative that has the potential to address each and every barrier they face. Whether it be a case of simple socialisation, or complex counselling in combination with accommodation packages, food parcels and work experience with one of our community partners, we will work on a solution personally tailored to the needs of each and every client.
