CAIRNS SOUTH MEDICARE URGENT CARE CLINIC - NOW OPEN | Cairns South Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) is now open for patients needing care for urgent, but not life-threatening, health conditions that can be managed without a trip to the emergency department but cannot wait for a regular appointment with a GP.

What we can treat

At Cairns South Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, we offer prompt care for a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses, which may include but are not limited to:

• minor infections
• minor eye and ear infections
• minor fractures, sprains, sports injuries and sudden onset neck and back pain
• respiratory illness
• gastroenteritis
• urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• mild burns
• sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
• minor cuts
• insect bites and rashes

Medicare UCCs will refer you to the emergency department if you have a life-threatening injury or illness, or to your GP for non-urgent, routine and preventative health care.
