Pre-admission Clinic

If you are booked in for an operation, you may be asked to attend a pre-admission clinic one to two weeks prior to your operation. The Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug Service provides drug and alcohol assessment, treatment, referral, information, individual and telephone counselling. The service also assists with support, education, training, consultation and liaison.

Antenatal clinics

Antenatal midwives clinics are offered five days week (Monday to Friday). If you require obstetric appointments during your pregnancy, these are available on Thursdays. If you have diabetes (Gestational, type 1 or type 2) you will be attend our multi-disciplinary clinic which is offered on Tuesday. At this clinic you will see an obstetrician, diabetes educator, dietician, and midwife.

We provide specialist medical and nursing care, treatment and support regarding sexual health, HIV and viral hepatitis B and C. Our services are free and confidential, with male and female clinicians available.

The National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) aims to help detect bowel cancer early and reduce the number of Australians who die each year from the disease. While bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men and women, it is one of the most treatable cancers if found early.

BreastScreen

BreastScreen Queensland provides free breast cancer screening for all eligible Queensland women. Women aged from 50 to 74 years are particularly encouraged to visit a BreastScreen Queensland Service every two years, as increasing age is the biggest risk factor in developing breast cancer.
