Mackay City Band

The Mackay City Band is a community concert band. Members enjoy playing a variety of music styles in large or small groups. 

It was formed as a brass band in the mid 1920’s after the demise of two other brass bands in the early 1920’s.

The Mackay City Band is always welcoming new and enthusiastic musicians who wish to perform on their chosen instrument and perform their musical skills to the benefit of the local community and beyond. Dedicated players of all brass and woodwind instruments, as well as percussion, will be welcomed into the Mackay City Band.

Rehearsals occur from 6:30pm - 8:30pm Monday nights at the band hall on Leisure Street, Mackay.
