About Us
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme is funded by the Department of Health to provide one on one volunteer visitors to residents in a nursing home who are in need of a visitor. These Aged Care residents tend to be socially isolated and are experiencing feelings of loneliness, isolation and depression. Their quality of life is greatly improved by a volunteer providing social support through friendship and companionship.
