buttonWith its sprawling expanse of bayside walkways and bikeways, plentiful parks and picnic facilities and designated off-leash areas, Clontarf is an ideal place to bring the family, including the dog, to enjoy a day out by the water. Clontarf is renowned for its many pelicans that reside in the area and can be seen perched on the light poles along the bridge. The area is also home to a children's playground area complete with an all access swing, and popular boat ramp. Clontarf is also a popular fishing spot, with the Hornibrook Pier being a favourite spot to cast a line. Clontarf is also well known for kite flying, with conditions on the esplanade so favourable that an annual kite festival 'Kitefest' is hosted here in June attracting participants from across Australia.
