Affirm Wellness

Welcome to Affirm Wellness, a psychology practice operated by Karen Joncour, a registered psychologist working with adults and children. Areas of specialization include working with parents and carers seeking support with their children’s sleep, emotional regulation, behaviour and anxiety challenges. I work with families who have a child with issues including autism, ADHD, foetal alcohol spectrum disorder, trauma, anxiety and cognitive impairment. I am trained in Triple P and Circle of Security parenting programs and the FRIENDS anxiety program for children. Assessments for Autism, ADHD, anxiety and trauma are available.

I also provide services to people with anxiety, depression, perinatal issues, weight management, and workplace challenges. Apart from self-funding, clients can also choose from other funding options such as self and plan managed NDIS, Medicare, and private health insurance. I also have an interest in Health Psychology and have delivered healthy lifestyle group programs. Prior to becoming registered, I worked in the occupational rehabilitation area assisting people with disabilities to expand their employment options.
