About Us
Lady Bjelke-Peterson Community Hospital is your local community hospital servicing the North and South Burnett, areas of the Western Downs and the Fraser Coast.
The hospital is owned by the South Burnett Regional Council and reopened just over a year ago. It is run by the South Bank Medical Group. For many years the hospital has developed an enviable reputation for providing professional and compassionate health services and is greatly loved by the both the people who come as patients and those who work there. Services have continued to develop and the hospital is able to provide a range of surgical and out-of home respite and convalescent services.
Many of the services provided at the Hospital would usually only be accessed by travelling to Brisbane so if you are referred to Brisbane by your optometrist or GP (general practitioner) ask if the service is available locally. There are very short or no waiting lists so that you might be able to be seen for your procedure much earlier than if you had to see the public service or travel to Brisbane.
Although the services are growing as more medical staff and surgeons are enticed to provide services at the Lady Bjelke-Peterson Community Hospital below is a short list of services currently available. For more information please phone (07) 41621444 or speak with your GP.
