Tom Price Youth Centre

Youth Drop in services are available in Tom Price and Paraburdoo and offer young people a safe place to meet and interact in an environment that is youth culturally friendly.  We deliver special programs and projects which develop life skills and support young people in their lives.  We also encourgae youth to develop a level of ownership in their centres through initiatives such as the Youth Advisory Council and Local Drug Actions Groups. 

We deliver a multitude of other support services to youth and the broader community, in an effort to fill the gaps which can sometimes exist in the lack of essential services in remote communities.  We are a Centrelink Rural Agency which provides access to income support and other services available through the Dept of Human Services (Centrelink, Medicare, Child Support etc).  We are the coal face representative for the Dept of Corrective Services - Juvenile Justice and Adult Community Corrections, locally and provide support to clients both pre and post court.  We deliver a number of other supports including counselling, case management, mediation and advocacy in areas including employment, alcohol and drug use, family crisis, relationship breakdown, suicide and self harming behaviours.  We usually respond in most areas of inquiry and will refer to specialist services if required.
