Child Services in Kwinana
What Is This?
Child Services provide support for children and families, aiming to ensure the health, safety, well-being, and development of children. These services offer a range of assistance inclusive of playgroups and childcare, general support services for families such as parenting information and counselling, as well as agencies who provide assistance regarding child protection, foster care, and family support programs.
How Is It Funded?
Child Services are primarily funded by government allocations, with additional support from non-profit organisations, grants, community fundraising and fee for service. How much does it cost? Childcare is subsidised through the government as Child Care Subsidy which is paid to providers who pass it on to families as a fee reduction. Most other services are low or no cost to individuals, however, some require a referral for supports from and to relevant organisation and schools.
How To Access?
Individuals can access services for children through direct contact with service providers, referrals from schools, healthcare providers, or community organisations, and by visiting government agencies or online platforms dedicated to child and family welfare.
