About This Community
Carrathool Council has an approximate area of 19,000 km².
It is adjacent to the suburb of Nericon.
It is comprised of the localities of Boorga, Erigolia, Goolgowi, Gunbar, Hillston, Lake Brewster, Melbergen, Merriwagga, Monia Gap, Roto and Wallanthery plus parts of Benerembah, Binya, Booligal, Carrathool, Mossgiel, Myall Park, Rankins Springs, Tabbita, Warrawidgee, Willbriggie and Yenda.
It is surrounded by the councils of Balranald, Bland, Central Darling, Cobar, Griffith, Hay, Lachlan, Murrumbidgee and Narrandera.
It is within the state electorate of Murray.
It is within the federal electorate of Farrer.
